Man ‘gutted’ by his McDonald’s meal after wife’s attempt to order goes wrong

There’s nothing worse than getting food delivered to your house, opening up the order ready to eat, only to find there’s been a mistake with your meal.

It’s a devastating feeling, especially when you’ve been eagerly anticipating your meal.

This recently happened to one man, after his wife made a mistake when attempting to personalise his McDonald’s order on the Uber Eats app.

His order went very, very wrong and instead of the Double Quarter Pounder burger he’d hoped for, with no pickles and no mustard, he was left with one very sloppy looking box of ingredients.

The unnamed wife shared the blunder on social media along with a snap of his meal.

She captioned the post: “Note to self – when ordering always double check what you’ve ordered from McDonalds otherwise you could end up with this for tea like my hubby did last night.”

It turns out instead of de-selecting the pickles and mustard, she’d accidentally clicked the option for no patty and no bun. Whoops!

So when he opened the box – which was a pancake box, not a burger one – he found several slices of cheese, some onions, pickles and ketchup.

Definitely not what he’d wanted.

The woman told Fabulous that she’d made the mistake while trying to order food for her family of seven.

“Each order was different and when it came to my husband double quarter pounder burger I clicked on no patty and no bun rather than no mustard and no pickles,” she explained.

“He was gutted when everyone got their burgers and he got that.”

The man eventually got his burger though – dashing off to McDonald’s for it, as his wife was already in her pyjamas.

Thousands of people liked the Facebook post, with many commenting to share their sympathy.

“Omg!! I would of been heart broken,” one person said.

Another wrote: “Elf on the shelf ate his burgers.”

Others just found the whole thing very funny, while some began sharing their own fast food blunders – including someone who ordered a salad but was sent a two slices of tomato, two slices of cucumber and some onions.
